Welcome to our 2nd e-newsletter – what we believe to be an informative update of what is happening in the exciting world of Mazda.

As we close in on the holiday season I personally recommend you book your Mazda in for a quick Safety / Roadworthy inspection – too often I see distraught families stranded on the side of the road on day one their big annual holiday – we can help you have a great holiday!!

I attended a special meeting with Mazda just a few days ago where Mazda announced the Australian launch of the new Mazda 2 Sedan for early 2010.

Thanks to fresh and exciting product Mazda continues to dominate retail sales in our area – overall the No.2 Brand and Mazda 3 remains the No.1 seller for 2009!!

We are in the final stages of designing our New Mazda showroom and Workshop facilities to cater for the Brand’s phenomenal growth – work should commence in February 2010.

Summer motoring tips from our Service Departmentmazda-service

Tip 1 – Service your Mazda. With Christmas fast approaching our Service Department becomes busier than usual so act quickly. Don’t make the mistake of waiting until after Christmas, we’ve all seen those unlucky people broken down on the side of the road as we head to our favourite Christmas destination. It’s usually a hot summers day and they’re on the phone (if there’s reception) organising a tow truck, a replacement car, trying to get accommodation nearby (impossible at Christmas), kids going nuts and possibly worst of all, the significant other politely suggesting that if they “had of listened to them and had the car serviced then none of this would be happening and they’d be at the beach house by now, having a nice cool drink, but nooooo, ““it’ll be right”", you said….”

That’s not the way to start a trip or possible end it before it really begins.

Don’t risk it book in today.

Tip 2 – Want to know the best way to save money on rising fuel costs? It’s easy; just make sure your tyres are inflated to the correct pressure. Going on holidays with the car fully loaded puts even more strain on under inflated tyres not to mention raising your fuel consumption. Our service technicians check your tyre pressure and adjust to factory specifications as a matter of course with every service.

Tip 3 – We all know bugs become a bit of a problem when travelling away from town. So for safer driving, add a little glass cleaner to your windscreen washers. This will help remove those big stubborn bugs that tend to smear across your windscreen rather than wash off. Something a lot of people don’t think about on long trips or in general is cleaning your headlights. They get just as dirty if not dirtier than your windscreen and a dirty headlight is nowhere near as effective as a clean one. So next time you squeegee your windscreen at the service station, do your headlights too.

New Mazda Facilities contruction

Thanks to the Mazda Brands phenomenal growth time has come to expand our facilities – we will soon present you with “100 metres of Mazda” housing new showrooms and workshop facilities – all designed to delight our customers with comfort and convenience.

Rather than rush out the final plans we have chosen to spend more time and eliminate any potential shortcomings. You should see building works commence in February 2010 and we look forward to sending you an invitation to visit us once completed.

Hornsby Mazda Owners Nights

Hornsby Mazda “Owners Nights” are a great new initiative we have introduced – we just ran our second evening late in August and the feedback on the night was very positive.

The evenings are dedicated to answering all the questions you would like to ask and offer useful information on vehicle servicing and safety. They run for about 90 minutes and include demonstrations of the on-line Mazda MMDS Diagnostic system that is capable of downloading the latest software upgrades into your Mazda. They also covering everything from jump starting your vehicle safely to how to change a tyre.

As well as being a very informative evening it is a great way to meet the team who look after you each time your vehicle is in for a service.
