I don’t’ really want to write an essay, but I
would like to tell you about how I come to purchase a Mazda and
buy it from Hornsby Mazda. I have been involved with cars all
my life and have been selling new Toyotas for the past eleven
years. Even though I have the use of a company vehicle, I have
always had an on the side weekend toy. In 2001, I bought a
Toyota MR2. We traded at work which I thought was terrific, but
in 2004 with it coming up to 200,000km I thought it was time
for a change and I bought a new Rav4, 3 door cruiser from work.
I had 3 happy years with this car and paid off my house. I was
on the lookout again as, even though my rav4 was great, I
missed my 2 seat open top car.
Early in 2007 one of my customers I sold a
Yaris to had an MX5 which he parked outside our showroom. I
thought it looked great, and he proceeded to tell me all about
it. He also purchased it from Hornsby Mazda. From that day I
couldn’t get that car out of my head, and it just niggled away
from dawn till dusk in my mind. One day at work I mentioned
what I was thinking to a colleague and he said he knew someone
at XXXX Mazda who could do me quote. I accepted his offer and
this was the first price I got for an MX5, and I thought it was
also reasonable. After playing on the Mazda website, I received
a phone call from my local dealer, and was informed the “Mazda
Roadshow” was there and I should come and have a drive. The
salesperson there knew what I did for a living and where I was
from. He came with me and when I drove the car and all he could
tell me about was how much money he earns and the massive
numbers of cars he sells. I really enjoyed the drive but was
left thinking this guy does so well he doesn’t really need my
business, but he gave me a good price which was a little better
than the first from XXXX Mazda so I just took this all on
board.
In may 2007 I was in Sydney for a new corolla
training and on the way home I said to my fellow peers I would
like to call in at Hornsby Mazda, remembering that’s where my
customer had bought his MX5 from. That day, I met Corrie
Taylor. His no nonsense attitude was great, gave me his price,
which was a fraction better than my local dealer, answered all
my questions and went out of his way to show me the car in
copper red.
As he drove us around the corner to a different
site to show me, Corrie knew my occupation from the start as
well and gave me the price straight up, didn’t treat me like I
was wasting his time, I felt respected by Corrie at all times.
I left there that day and commented to my peers that I would
buy my car at Hornsby Mazda from Corrie. They also thought this
was a good idea; we were all left with a good impression. In
the following weeks I sold my Rav4 privately and ordered my
Mazda on 27/05/2007. Corrie told me September for delivery. The
wait was killing me, but I was always kept informed about
delivery which is so important in our industry.
I ended up with a car a month
earlier than predicted which was also very
pleasing.

My wife and I thought we should write and express our thanks
for the manner in which Christian facilitated the recent
purchase of our new car.
By way of explanation, we had been thinking
about a new car for many months and called in to the showroom
in January, when we made our initial contact with Christian.
Although not quite ready to negotiate a deal at that time,
Christian contacted us regularly to see how we were going
We have to admit that before we came into the
showroom, we had decided on purchasing a Mazda 6 Luxury Sports,
and when we came into the Showroom on the 4th March, it was to
determine what trade in we could get, do a deal, and to choose
a colour.
Well, 3 hours later we walked out having bought
an MX 5.
This was not the spur of the moment
decision that it seems.
My wife has always loved convertibles, the 64
Mustang being her dream car, and when we first started looking
around for a new car, she did ask what convertibles were
available. (The new car was for her). I did not consider the MX
5 at that time as we were looking to purchase an automatic and
I didn’t think that the MX 5 was available in auto.
While the car virtually sold itself, we would
both like to compliment Christian in the manner in which he
conducted himself during our negotiations.
From our initial contact in January, when
Christian thoroughly and patiently explained the features of
the various cars we were considering, through the followup
phone calls, and the test drives and dealings on the day of
purchase, and then taking delivery, nothing was too much
trouble, giving both my wife and myself equal attention and
consideration, and at no time did we ever feel hurried or
pressured to make any decisions.
This is the 4th vehicle
we have purchased through the Hornsby Automotive Group, and
while all purchases have been trouble free, we would like to
express our thanks to Christian and to Hornsby Mazda for making
this deal so easy.
By the way, we love the car!

" I am also delighted that I bought if from
Hornsby Mazda. After months of shopping about. Looking at
competitor brands and also discussing cars with the others I
completed my transaction here. Why you may ask`? Please allow
me to explain.
1 was on my way to
another Mazda dealership very local to me and the level of
professionalism was high, but not 100%. I looked at 2 other
dealerships, they tried to meet my needs but due to distance we
both agreed that it was not the smartest choice to buy from
them, then by chance I called Hornsby Mazda, of which was the
best move.
After knowing what I wanted and a simple
telephone call we agreed to a price and made the deal.
Traveling from Manly to Hornsby was not a short journey and
Corrie waited for us to arrive at (6pm) he greeted us warmly
and helped us to get the best possible outcome.
My point here is that I can’t sing enough
praises of the Team here; they are professional, decent and
cater to your needs. They will serve you with a smile and also
give you the information that you need.
I left the dealership with a new car, smile on
my face and being kept up to date on it at all moments of its
transport life.
If anyone is needing any help as to where to
shop for a car and what to buy, please allow me to guide you, I
completed about 6 months of extensive research as to what car
(i.e. Golf, Focus, Corolla, Astra, A3, BMW I and SP23) and even
though most were closely matched and 2 of those cars were
great, the better one came out and that was the SP23 Mazda 3.
As I said if anyone is needing help as to where to shop for a
car and what to buy please save yourself some time, the
newspapers and magazines and word of mouth from people rave
about Mazda (3's.6's and most of the range) and the Hornsby
dealership are by far the most superior dealership by means of
knowledge and attitude (amongst other things mentioned
earlier).
In my case the people here made my place of
purchase the easiest decision, and my extensive research helped
me make choice of car, but either way Mazda and Hornsby makes a great
combination

"I just wanted to send a quick email to you in
regards to the great Job; it was a really pleasure in dealing
with your staff Corrie and Kris. I was referred to your
dealership by, my General Manager George Severino and my
Service Manager Michael McBride.
Corrie was my point of contact when I came in
on the Saturday afternoon and From the moment that I walked in
and was greeted by your staff, I felt like that I had known
your staff for years, when Corrie came and introduced himself
he was great I explained that I had done my homework on the car
and the only thing that I had not done was test drive it.
We jumped into a car and went for a nice long
drive, and I must say it was a great drive and he explained
everything that I needed to know and was always ready with a
smile and answer to my queries.
I felt that in the time that I was there I was
not pressured into buying the vehicle, I was treated like a
valued client, and when we sat down to the business side of
things and I explained to Corrie what I wanted on the car and
that I had already been to 3 other dealerships (I was only to
show my dad what car I had in mind to buy) another was just
down the road from were I live (did not like them thought they
were too rude and very pushy) and the other one was XXXXXX
because my friend worked there, and I thought that the deal he
was quoting was great.
And being in the motor trade at least I was not
being taken for a ride so that was in my favour, but at no time
did I feel that Corrie was misleading me in any way, so when it
came down to change over the deal was resting on what my trade
was going to give me, well what can I say your dealership blew
XXXXXX and XXXXXX Mazda out of the water.
Once I advised Corrie this was my figure he
came back and shook my hand and said we had a deal I did not go
over my budget which was great, because I did not want to go
much higher, after all this I just wanted to say a BIG THANK
YOU to your staff on a job well done, and I will be more than
happy to refer anyone who is looking for a Mazda to come and
see you guy's down there. And I was also very impressed with
the presentation of the car and how friendly everyone is there
at Hornsby Mazda.
And the follow up from Angela and Corrie is the
best I have ever seen or heard, and I do the follow ups for my
clients, so that's saying something.

"I am sending you this note to let you know
that I am very appreciative of the excellent
service I received from Nathan Stevenson when we bought our
Mazda the week before Easter.
Nathan was extremely thorough in showing me the car's features
and able to complete the sale in the very short timeframe I
needed. We were able to take the car away for Easter and really
enjoy driving it both on the open road and around town.
I would also like to pass on my appreciation
for excellent service to the finance department who got the
finances organised so quickly and efficiently and with great

"We are writing to let you know that we recently took delivery
of a Mazda Tribute, and to also let you know about our
experience with one of your sales staff.
We had recently purchased a Toyota RAV4 from a
dealer in our local area, and after not only finding the
vehicle to be completely impractical for our requirements, but
also to discover that the salesman had lied to us about a
number of things, it would be fair to say that we weren't at
all impressed. After a month, the vehicle started playing up
and had spent a fair amount of time in the garage having
warranty work done on it.
We decided we had to get rid of the car, at
considerable expense if needs be, because it was simply causing
us so many problems. As you can imagine, we really weren't
looking forward to having to go through the process again, but
were about to go and see family in your area, and decided to
see if a city dealer could do a better. We came in on a busy
Saturday and were attended to promptly by a lovely young lady
at the front door. We were happy to wait a little while and
were seen soon after by one of your sales staff.
I must admit we were very hesitant about buying
a new car so soon after buying our recently acquired "lemon'".
We may have been very short and abrasive at first, but in
dealing with Nathan Stevenson, we soon saw that he was a
different type of sales person to what we had expected and were
unfortunately used to. He took a lot of time to ascertain our
exact needs and listened carefully and wrote everything down
that we said. He was certainly not pushy and extremely patient
with us. He gave us lots of information and based on what we
had told him, showed us a vehicle that he said he thought might
be suitable. He not only told us what the car had, but actually
showed us things we had no idea about, which made us aware that
he certainly had been listening to us, and was doing his best
to find a solution to our problem.
His presentation was thorough, he spoke clearly, and obviously
understood the product he was trying to sell. He gave us well
reasoned arguments as to why this vehicle was what we were
looking for, and on test driving the vehicle, found that his
claims of great power and efficiency were well founded. He also
showed a distinct belief in his products and by virtue of being
a Mazda owner added credibility to his overall
presentation.
Clearly. Nathan has shown he has got the basics
right. He wasn't at all pushy, he found out what we wanted, and
he showed us a lot of reasons why we should place our trust in
not only him, but your dealership. As a person who has bought
cars from the dealership and lives locally, he has himself
shown his own belief in the value of dealing with your
organisation
After taking a few days to consider all the information he gave
us, it was an easy decision to come back to him and buy the new
Tribute. He also arranged for our car to be valued and worked
hard to help us get a good and fair price for our car, which
lessened the financial discomfort, as well as frustration we
were feeling about the whole process. He put us at ease and was
completely professional throughout the whole process and was
able to put our fears about the stereotypical car salesman to
rest.
This young man is obviously focused on giving
exceptional service and tells us that it is no small part due
to the professional nature of the way his management promote
training and development of professional skills and
capabilities. This has all culminated in the best buying
experience we have had in over 50 years of buying cars, and we
are more than happy to offer our recommendation that you allow
this lovely young man to look after you.

I recently purchased a new Mazda 6 from your
Hornsby Mazda dealership and I write to let you know that my
prompt purchase was due to Nathan Stevenson.
I had undertaken preliminary research and
recommendations from friends but expected the process of
choosing a car to take some weeks. However, I was so impressed
with Nathan's personal recommendation of Mazda and his genuine
efforts to ascertain my own needs for a car that my choice
became very quickly clear and I am very happy with my
purchase.
Nathan is not a typical salesperson whose aim
is to sell a particular product. From the outset, I understood
that he is selling a car he himself drives and believes is a
good product. As people who have always enjoyed driving, this
created a good rapport. As a buyer, I felt that Nathan had
complete confidence in the product he is selling and that is a
powerful recommendation.
Nathan also took time to point out all the good
features of various cars, allowing time for us to ask
questions. He also took time to ask what we were looking for
and to listen carefully to what we wanted. This included my
strong desire to have excellent after-sales service and Nathan
was able to confidently assure us that Mazda could provide
this, explaining all the benefits and procedures to us.
When we took both the Mazda 3 and Mazda 6 for
test drives, he carefully and patiently explained the cars to
us and allowed us to thoroughly test both cars in places and
conditions that we normally drive. This showed genuine interest
in satisfying the clients' needs. When I indicated a strong
interest in the Mazda 6, he took careful note of what features
I was seeking and was quickly able to provide a vehicle to meet
my needs.
I did visit other dealerships - your own Ford,
to look at the Focus, Toyota, Honda and Nissan. While other
salespersons were professional and polite, I only found one
other salesperson - the Nissan rep, a much older man, to have a
similar attitude to customer service, as Nathan. This, I
believe, reflects Nathan's maturity and work ethic, in spite of
his youth. I can see that his years of army experience have
helped develop a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility
that provides an excellent basis for his chosen career.
I can honestly say that I
found Nathan to be an exceptional young man who I can
thoroughly recommend to you for his genuine belief in your
product, his work ethic and his attention to customer
satisfaction. I believe that these qualities make him a very
