Mazda Australian Range

From the time it launched its 2000 suite of motor vehicles, Mazda sales have skyrocketed in Australia.  Everyone is familiar with “Zoom-Zoom“.

Mazda has doubled its market share and is now the number one motor vehicle importer in Australia and in car sales it is in position number 4 (and closing) behind the Big 3.

Here are the models in Mazda Australia’s 2008 range:

The Mazda2

This is a very funky little car that is now available in a chic 3 door version.  The Mazda 2 comes in three styles: the Neo, Maxx or Genki.  On March 20, 2008, the 5-door Mazda2 edged out the Ford Mondeo and Mercedes-Benz C-Class to take the World Car of the Year Award.  At the time, Australian judge, Bill McKinnon said “The Mazda2 is the complete small car package, without the usual compromises.”

The Mazda3

The Mazda3 comes in four versions, the Neo Sport (petrol hatch or petrol sedan), the Maxx Sport (petrol hatch or petrol sedan), the SP23 (again petrol hatch or petrol sedan) and the Deisel (hatch or sedan). Comfort, user friendliness and exhilarating performance are the trademarks of the Mazda3.

The Mazda3 MPS

Now this is the ultimate “Zoom-Zoom” hatch. It features formidable turbocharged power, a purposeful, aggressive stance on the road and a specially tuned chassis.   Choose from the Mazda3 MPS or go straight to the top shelf with the Sports Pack.

The Mazda6

Select from the Limited, Classic and Luxury models in order to find the Mazda6 to suit your level of comfort and style.  The Mazda6 comes with a bigger 2.5 litre engine, and comes in your choice of a 6-speed manual or a 5-speed auto.
